Megan Matthews, OTD, OTR/L, Founder, Occupational Therapist
Megan Matthews is a licensed and board-certified occupational therapist, and the owner of Empower Kids OT. Megan holds a Bachelors of Human Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience and a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Russell Sage College.
Megan has experience among a variety of settings including public schools, early intervention, and preschool intervention. Megan's experience includes working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and more.
Outside of her passion for occupational therapy, Megan devotes time to enjoying running, reading, and playing with her dog.

I come to your home because that's where your child's challenges actually show up, at the breakfast table, in the bathroom, during transitions between activities. I work with your child while coaching you on exactly what I'm doing and why, so you're equipped to carry those strategies through the rest of the week.
As a private-pay practice, there are no insurance hoops, no referral requirements, and no months-long wait. You call, and we get started, often within a week. Every family on my caseload gets my personal cell number, midweek check-ins, and a therapist who knows their child by name.
